Today, February 23, 2019 is the grand opening of Jubilee Lani Nail And Body Spa Extension just located 208 MTF Building San Isidro Paranaque City , ribbon cutting was done by Miss Lumiere International World 2017 Sammie Anne Legaspi and covered by the United Bloggers Philippines team. The program started with a thanksgiving prayer followed by a lunch buffet.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony the celebration continues as the owner toured us around Jubilee Lani Nail, Body Spa and Hair Salon. “M. BUTTERFLY” NATIONAL TOUR 2019 ALL SET FOR SIX-CITY RUN FROM FEBRUARY TO JUNE
The M. BUTTERFLY National Tour 2019 is all set to spread its wings even wider to reach major cities namely Iloilo, Dumaguete, Cebu, Davao, Manila and Baguio.
Presented by Tony and Grammy award winning producer Jhett Tolentino and FRONTROW Entertainment (producer of highly-acclaimed independent films Bhoy Intsik and Bwaya), the M. BUTTERFLY National Tour 2019 was decided upon by the producers to bring this world-class masterpiece to those who did not have the opportunity to catch its 2018 Manila run. After all, location should not limit one’s exposure to the arts and culture.
Most theater companies in our country whose successful productions in Manila are often hindered from bringing their projects to other key cities because of the many challenges and technical details involved. And this is why Jhett Tolentino and FRONTROW Entertainment are taking this bolder step to carry on their mission and advocacy in the performing arts and to further enhance audience development throughout the Philippine archipelago.
This revival production of David Henry Hwang’s M. BUTTERFLY is the winner of the 2018 ALIW AWARDS for Best Play, Best Actor and Best Director. It was also nominated for two Best Featured Actresses in a Play and Best Ensemble.
M. Butterfly, which tells the story originally premiered on Broadway in 1998 and won 3 Tony Awards for Best Play, Best Feature Actor and Best Director.
Synopsis: René Gallimard is a member of the French embassy in China. René is mild mannered and considers himself to be poor with women. He meets and falls in love with Chinese opera star Song Liling, a woman whom he considers to be the embodiment of the perfect woman, Madame Butterfly. But when West meets East, everything is not what it seems..
Targeting audiences between ages 18 and beyond, the producers are hoping that this classic drama, inspired by Giaccomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly’, will likewise resonate to theater audiences from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao that “ love, power and deception holds no boundaries – whether this be in a rural or urban setting.”
RS FRANCISCO, the 2018 Aliw Awards Best Actor for M. Butterfly shall reprise his iconic portrayal of Song Liling, the Chinese opera singer who is Gallimard’s object of affection and seduces him through his biases of the East then exploits their intimacy to collect classified information for agents of the Chinese Communist Party.
RS first essayed this role in May 1990 for Dulaang UP, opposite veteran actor, writer and critic Behn Cervantes. On its debut, M. Butterfly immediately rose to critical acclaim with packed houses and box office success in over 100 performances throughout the Philippines.
In the many years thereafter, RS Francisco’s theater credits in numerous productions and variety of roles continued to hone his craft as a compleat artist. In films, his most recent awards include the SINAG MAYNILA Best Actor, the STAR AWARDS Movie Actor of the Year and the SUBIC BAY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Best Actor.
When M. BUTTERFLY was revived recently on Broadway, RS had thought of bringing it to life once again to the new theater audiences of today. After all, this is the only ‘one’ role that continues to remain as closest to his heart.
To add a diverse twist to the M. Butterfly National Tour 2019, young actor AIRA IGARTA will step into the role of Song Liling as alternate in certain performances. As an original member of the Kurogo ensemble of the play’s 2018 Manila run, Aira is a stage and film actor from the Theatre Arts Program of UP Diliman where he took part in several Dulaang UP and Dulaang Labortoryo productions. Trained by the likes of Tony Fabella and Luther Perez, Aira was originally a dance and voice scholar at Quezon City Performing Arts Foundation (QCPADFI).
French actor OLIVIER BORTEN shall essay the role of Rene Gallimard, a former French diplomat, who relates the story of his passionate, disastrous affair with Song Liling from his cell in a Paris prison, where he is serving a long sentence for treason.
Philippine theater royalty JENINE DESIDERIO, who among many other theater, film, television and recording credits, assumed the lead role as Kim in the West End’s original Miss Saigon, will portray Gallimard’s wife – Helga. The pair married as a matter of convenience; Helga’s father had diplomatic connections that helped Gallimard ascend in his career.
After 25 years of stage acting experience in the United Kingdom, Scottish NORM MCLEOD has stepped in the Philippine stage as Manuel Toulon, the French Ambassador to China who also happens to be the dominant and strong-willed superior of Gallimard at the embassy in Beijing. Toulon promotes Gallimard to vice-consul and charges him with collecting information to aid the American war in Vietnam.
Trilingual American actor LEE O’BRIAN will once more personify Marc, the sexually unapologetic best friend of Gallimard. He encourages Gallimard to take sexual advantage of the women around him without regard for their feelings or even their consent. Although M. Butterfly was Lee’s first theatrical endeavor, his acting skills have already been tried and tested in international films Edsa Woolworth and Forgive Me Father. O’Brian also portrays Sharpless in M. Butterfly for a brief while.
Portraying the different roles of Suzuki, Comrade Chin and Shu Fang is powerful and well-rounded artist MAYEN ESTAÑERO. Her impressive performance in the 2018 run of M. Butterfly landed her an Aliw Awards nomination for Best Featured Actress. Mayen’s previous theater credits include Dalanghita Production’s Corazon Negro, An Operetta as Maestra, Virgin Labfest’s Mula sa Kulimliman as Leila and Sugid Production’s Buwan at Baril as Asawa. Comrade Chin is a member of the Red Guards, a paramilitary arm of the Communist Party in China. Song communicates with Comrade Chin often, to pass on the classified information he gathers from Gallimard.
Twice a finalist as Best Actress for the Aliw Awards, MAYA ENCILA receives her third nomination as Best Featured Actress for her unique characterization of Renee and Pin-Up Girl in M. Butterfly. The stunning Arizona native plays a young, sexually liberated Danish woman with whom Gallimard has an affair. Renee’s boldness presents a stark contrast to Song’s modesty, which Gallimard finds both exciting and obnoxious. A true expert in performing arts, Maya has taken the stage countless times as Mary Lennox for The Secret Garden, as Belle for Repertory Philippines’ Beauty and the Beast musical and as Lara for Philippine Stagers’ KATIPS, to name a few.
Rising soprano star JASMIN SALVO will be the new Opera Singer for the national tour.

United Bloggers Philippines 3rd Annual Thanksgiving After Party
February 8 & 9, Alfonso, Cavite. It’s Thanksgiving time once again for bloggers and influencers who group them all together as one, under one family by the name …. “United Bloggers Philippines!”
United Bloggers Philippines was established in September 2015 by Ms Adae Ang, the group admin, primarily to spread love, good vibes and good business among colleagues and its clientele. Our goal is to grow with one another as a family of bloggers, to work with harmony and respect and to be able to make a difference. As we firmly believe, “United we Stand, divided we fall.”

UBP 3rd Thanksgiving Day 2019
I was so excited in organizing this event because I've been to a lot of events for months and missed being part of those. So I asked God to lead me, strengthen , empower and manifest His divine provisions all throughout the preparation and truly, He is absolutely good. Because from the day I started planning up to the very moment of our Thanksgiving day, I felt His goodness. His divine intervention is fully present.
He orchestrate every details of it from connecting me to the perfect and right sponsors down to the actual event - His grace and faithfulness was indeed amazing. Though there might be some unnecessary delays within the preparation trying to ruin the celebration, still His divine control overruled and He's been with us and never left our side. Everyone was cooperative, professional, humble, generous in sharing their journey in blogging. With my almost 15 years in the corporate world, I must say blogging world is one of the exciting journey I ever had. My learning was enlarged, stretched and challenged meeting all the very competent veteran bloggers, vloggers, writters, youtubers, media spiced it up.

Then i got astounded with their veranda where you can see their swimming pool that will tempt you to have a splash immediately to have a quick freshen up. A good welcome view for the guest to get even more excited to whats in store for them in their staycation .
As i checked in, we were assisted by their very kind staff Ms. Rachel Vidal, thank you so much for such as an awesome assistance.
As she lead us to our room with their very pinoy service jeepney, this is a so cute idea to have their driver wear a formal uniform , this is really totally a thumbs up!
Then as we reached our room accomodation for this exciting getaway we stayed In a cabin family with 3 bedroom great enough for our family, it had a wood sofa where you can watch tv. As soon as I entered their room, me and my mom had our back rest in their very homey feel bed with a very comfortable pillows. Their purely white painted room made me and my mom so relaxed and gave us such a good sleep. The room also have a cabinets, welcome toiletries kit.
As we walked and looked around the vicinity we saw a big field which I think is used for outdoor events like weddings and on the side, it has obstacle courses best for those who loved physical activities and also good for team buildings for groups of company outings.
Then we saw their wave pool that was so huge and surely it wil make your swimming experience into a more intense level..
There are so much to enjoy here like zipline, archery, forest trekking,rock climbing and so much more, camping - which they have during the day we stayed, surely! it was a blast, all campers enjoyed their night with the sky watching the stars on a very cool breeze weather, and earlier they also celebrated Chinese New Year celebration as they enjoyed dragon dancing with dimsum buffet to complete the celebration.

This place showcases God's perfect masterpiece and in His masterpiece there's life.
Today is the day where I can witness how beautiful this place is. That's why I am so excited. Every turn I take , at any angles, all I see is perfection. Such an awesome feeling to be just surrounded by the greens, the colorful flowers brings more life and happiness in me. The air so fresh, clean. Words are not enough to describe how beautiful, perfect this place is.
When I get off our ride, the cool fresh breeze of air welcome and kisses my cheeks that makes me feel more excited. My eyes cant get off looking around , all the area were clean and well maintained. They make the natural beauty of nature outstand everything. The design of their cabana is very beautiful- very pinoy style. This place awakens my inner spirit that leads me to worship and thankgiving for the countless blessings we have. Being here in the middle is like getting soak in the presence of God that rest my heart with fullness the fullness joy.
I never regret choosing this place to be our venue for our Annual Thanksgiving Day of United Bloggers Philippines. The place didn't just give an awesome getaway but it gives a direct message in our hearts how blessed we are and always remember God's awesome faithfulness throughout the generation.
There's no doubt that seeing this beautiful nature is an obvious expression of how awesome our God is. You can see Him through the greatness of His creation and how great our God is. The perfect curvings softness of trees ,flowers show how God with His mighty hands created everything with so much love, the calmness freshness of the air we breathe makes us feel God's comforting us, embracing us. The grandness of the beautiful sky at night and sparkling stars declared how perfectly God can do far beyond our wildest imaginations and also convinced us Gods infinite greatness - its beyond words, and it’s even beyond the word ‘perfect’. Totally, that's the meaning behind this place was created, the name itself tells it all indeed It's a "LIFE place" because each and everything we see speaks life to us directly - about Gods compassion and mastery.
I truly thank God for His divine connection and His provisions that lead us to the right places, there may be rough roads along the way but nothing, no one can hinder God's purpose in our lives, there may be interruption but still God will bring you there to what He has prepared for you. When we understand our purpose, it is a moment of epiphany. It dawned on me that health should be everybody's concern and top priority.
A recent visit to a one-of-a-kind clinic in Makati City opened a whole new perspective. A question popped up in my mind "Why should we settle for the traditional approach in medicine when we can also reap the benefits of alternative therapies at the same time?"

“thank you”. Though the trade name is undergoing a rebranding process from Merci to Merzci, the

Merzci started as a small bakery, supplying breads to a single store at the Libertad Market. Eventually,
its popularity became undeniable due to a growing satisfied customer pool. With its high quality
breads at affordable prices, combined with aggressive marketing strategies and the ingenuity of youth,
it did not take long for the company to establish its own branches around the city and supply products
to satellite dealers all over the province.
Merzci also evolved into a fast food restaurant serving scrumptious and affordable snacks and
short-order meals for people on the go.
Complementing its food line, it diversified its business interests in 2003 with the introduction of its
bottled purified water brands distributed around Negros Island, namely MERCI PURIFIED DRINKING
WATER and VITALIFE PURIFIED DRINKING WATER. Despite competition from national brands, the
two brands successfully sliced a big share in the province’s purified water market in only a few
months’ time and up to present. The water brand is also expected to follow suit in the rebranding of its
trade name.

the emergence of new markets and opportunities.
In January 2005, CM & Sons launched its newest line – MERZCI PASALUBONG TREATS, to cater to
the growing tourist and balikbayan crowd that regularly come to the province. The pasalubong treats
have gained a massive “suki” consumer crowd that prompted the company to open its first pasalubong
center in Singcang, Bacolod City in September 2005. This branch is only about five minutes away
from the old Bacolod Airport which, at that time, gained a wide acceptance among the locals and
travelers alike. Seven months later, a second pasalubong center emerged in Mandalagan in April 2006,
which now caters mainly to travelers leaving the city on the way to the north of the island. In 2008,
when the New Bacolod-Silay Airport was opened to the public a new branch conveniently located at the
Departure Area was opened for its customers who are always on the go. And, most recently last
February of 2013, BREDCO Branch was established to cater to Iloilo-Panay travelers making it a point
that, indeed, Merzci will always be a part of a traveler’s Bacolod experience.
For more than two decades, the company has produced quality products from breads to pastries to
Visayan delicacies to short order meals and even purified water. Products are made available in the
different branches and dealers in the Negros Island, Panay, even reaching as far as Tuguegarao City in
the North, Zamboanga City, Manila, and Cebu. Some products are also exported by distributors to
Canada, the USA, and other parts of the world.

A sea of “Zs” exploded at the 35th Masskara Festival at Bacolod’s Lacson Tourism Strip last October
16-19, 2014.
Launching the New and Improved MERZCI, Bacolod’s favorite pasalubong center, bakeshop, and fast
food brought four nights of hyperfun – live band music, games, prizes, and dances – to festival guests
through nightly live shows.
A giant mirror ball, red and yellow confetti, and two sky dancers ushered in guests to the MERZCI stage.
The unveiling of the Z in MERZCI was performed by the mysterious yellow MERZCI Man and assisted
by CM and Sons Marketing Manager for PR & Events Femmy Lee Magbanua and Branding Officer
Lovelle Bellocillo.
Hosts Gerhard Krystoppher Pagunsan and John Gilbert Arceo, ably assisted by MERZCI Marketing
Manager Femmy Lee Magbanua and the MERZCI Dancers, led contestants in the iconic games Siopao
Eating Contest and Barquillos Relay. More contestants won MERZCI treats in pasalubong boxes with
games like Bring Me, Pinaka-, and the Longest Z. Members from the dancing audience who did the
MERZCI SIGN with their hands won customized MERZCI t-shirts. Those who had the letter Z in their
names went home with customized MERZCI golf umbrellas.
Festival guests grooved to live music from Batukada de Negros, Aire Band, and 11th hour Band as
freebies were tossed to the audience. The last night of the show was graced by 2014 Masskara Queen
1st Runner-up and Miss Merzci Riah Angelica De Ocampo. Right beside the MERZCI stage, the biggest
Masskara Festival PHOTOWALL offered FREE photo-taking to locals and tourists.
Meanwhile, the mysterious yellow MERZCI Man cavorted along Lacson Street, gamely posed with locals
and tourists and did a surprise appearance at the Masskara Love Dance.
