Adventure Beach Waterpark

So excited to be the first to visit Adventure Beach in Subic Olongapo and i am more excited to have this experience with our United Bloggers Philippines team. We were toured by the Marketing  Jaebi Murillo and  Arjay. They explained clearly all the parks rules and regulations.

As we entered the Waterpark, i got stunned with the awesome facilities - hanging bridge, the anchors sway, the big and small slides, and of course their wall climbing. I find it cute and I had that child-feeling upon seeing those big swan and turtle floats which i am sure kids would enjoy swimming with safely.

The management also prepared tasteful coolers to quench our thirst away. I also love their buffet of sweets and candies to make our ocular visit more special. I am sure that everyone would love this new beautiful waterpark, they have huge shower area and every pool is carefully watched by a lifeguard.

During our tour, we also had a chance to hear some words from their President, explaining why they chose Subic as their location , aside from entering a polluted free spot, the awesome nature makes this place so outstanding. Which is true - as we get off Manila Airport, what welcomes us is a terrible traffic, but as we get off Clark Airport, what welcomes us is the beauty of nature itself. They want the people to experience a getaway free from pollution and enjoy the clean air, which I totally agree.

I am looking forward to come back and enjoy this new Adventure Beach Waterpark with my whole family.#YourAdventureBeach

Abby's Garden Resort Nine Years Anniversary

I am happy that I joined the celebration of Abby's 9th Year Anniversary. As we checked in, the set up of this resort reminds me of the Mission House I stayed with my Korean students wayback year 2000. I have lots of sweet memories back then that's why staying here makes me reminisce . The ambiance gives me a very homey feeling.

This resort has 8 rooms and a very huge garden. During our interview with the owner she shares how she envision this place to be use in God's services like having church camps, team building, conferences and would love to make the garden more enticing by putting some extreme sports facilities like wall climbing, ziplines and also putting up some more recreational activities like board games and also plant some vegetables . Mrs. Brown named this resort after her daughter's name "Abby", she's so beautiful teenager. She got all the unique names of the rooms after all the places she's been during the time she works in England.

After my interview with Mrs. Brown, I am inspired with her journey as an OFW and now a resort owner. This is another very inspiring succes story and pride to our country. That indeed, as we strive harder and have our strong faith with us along our journey, surely we will succeed. Mrs. Brown is one great example of a successful OFW.

What we do now on a daily basis determines how successful we can be. We will never stay the same if keep moving forward to achieve and reach our dreams. And we can achieve these things through Christ as He is the one who fires us up , gives us strength and enable us. God indeed uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Out of being an ordinary people, now Mrs. Brown is the owner of these big resort operating for 9 years by God's grace. And despite of being the owner, she remains

humble, simple with a very strong faith in God. She even donated a big portion of her property to build a church. We are blessed to be a blessing and that's what she's doing now.

Congratulations Mrs. Brown, and looking forward to visiting you again and see those vision come to pass, for surely it will happen because we know that God will be the one to provide you all the resources and the connections. See you again soon.

BALDWIN CHAM VELASCO

BALDWIN CHAM VELASCO, Finance Executive and aspiring Philanthropist.
“You are defined by three things: your passion, your words and your loyalty. In business, I always believe that a man is as good as his words. Business is not about scheming or going under the table, but rather, strategizing and being successful through merits and keeping your promises. Loyalty and trust are earned through time and lost in a minute. Business is an opportunity to create relationships wherein all stakeholders are happy, in the ideal world. When faced with inevitable challenges, strive to stay positive, optimistic and endure. Failures create opportunities for us to become better versions of ourselves. Everything is about having setting a goal and achieving it, if circumstances do not lead you closer then it, then it only derails you. Always have a grateful heart and a purpose. These are the principles that I try to live by in business as well as in life.
As said so eloquently by the successful Executive Vice President of Filcredit Finance & Capital Development Corporation, Baldwin Cham Velasco, who has been with the company since May 2012. In just a span of 6 years, Velasco now manages a portfolio close to PHP500 million and manages all aspects of the financing company.
“I ensure the maximum recovery and collections of all regular, remedial, delinquent and bad accounts through negotiations, compromise, amicable settle and legal remedies. I make sure to exhaust all means necessary to collect through amicable settlements while maintaining good relations and proper documentation for the maximum security of Filcredit,” said Velasco.
Filcredit Finance and Capital Development Corporation (Filcredit) is a finance company that has been offering financial products and services since 1990. Filcredit provides a reliable source of working capital financing to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The company continues to further reinvent itself and is now diversifying their products, including micro financing in its financial offerings. Composed of a team of highly-skilled professionals, Filcredit’s goal is to help companies better manage their cash flow so they can focus more on production, sales, business development, and of course, increase their bottom line.
As with any financial company, Velasco admits that constant creativity and resourcefulness are very important aspects which are needed to successfully manage the company’s treasury and renegotiate with the company’s non-cooperative accounts and convert them into cooperative compliant ones.
“I lead a very lean organization while ensuring to manage the treasury of the company the best way I know how. I create various business solutions and remedies for various SMEs to ensure their continuous survival and further grow their business through financial partnering. I am very passionate of this and I believe that in business, as well as in life, there should always be a win-win solution, regardless of the situation,” added Velasco.
And to always achieve a win-win solution for both parties, Velasco says that it is crucial for people to always maintain good professional relationships with everyone around them, most importantly their banks and other financial institutions they are in business with. This way, their line of credit will always remain to be a viable option, should the need arises.
Velasco is in the business of managing relationships and as with this kind of business, relationship, being the operative word, is all about honesty, transparency, and trust. These three key traits comprise the secret to his success and continue to be the driving force to his management style.
“I truly believe that my success really stems from these three innate qualities – being honest, transparent, and being trustworthy. I always try to incorporate these in the work environment that I am in and manifest itself in how I work with people and vice versa. By championing these traits, whether it be in the workplace or with my clients, I find that when the trust has been established, the sense of security is increased and people start feeling more empowered, thus leading to more productivity and a better outlook on life. Yes, over time, these priorities may change but what should never change, is my personal commitment to be as open, honest and be as transparent as possible, with the people I work with, and this I feel has made all the difference,” said Velasco.
As an aspiring philanthropist, It is Baldwin’s passion to also help the gay community and is a donor at the Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines, focusing on empowering HIV-positive occasional or habitual drug users who want to change by providing them with medications, assistance, counseling and other interventions that would help them have better lives.
Baldwin Cham Velasco took up Master of Arts in Psychology, Major in Industrial Organization, as well as Bachelor of Arts in Managemen

The Natural Way to Feel More Empowered As a Woman

Gone are the days when the "male chauvinist" society had women as far inferior as men—very dependent and submissive to whatever the latter commanded. Women today are not just regarded as homemakers, but nation-builders as well. Beyond the confines of their houses, they, too, can make a big difference––be it in the economic, social or political arena.

From being a household queen to boardroom’s rockstar, women run on very hectic and active schedules everyday. So imagine the strength they have to withstand the daily grinds, not to mention the stress and pressure they have to endure just to fulfill the duties bestowed upon them.

Nevertheless, they’re no “Wonder Woman” at all, nor our very own heroine “Darna” so as not to feel exhausted and tired from chores or work. They’re also humans, who need to pause for a break from being the jack-of-all-trades.

This March—declared as International Women’s Month—is the best time to celebrate their power and influence with the gift of beauty and wellness that they truly deserve. What a better way to have it than a rosy, bouncy and shiny hair to begin with.

Because it is the mane that a person is mainly looked upon, it’s a conscious effort for everyone, especially women, to make it pleasant to gaze at. So a regular bottled shampoo and conditioner, plus treatment are, more often than not, the solutions to turn to, regardless of the bad effects they may cause.

Some of the harmful chemicals they contain are too much to handle, especially by as fragile as a hair follicle. Their main damage being mane breakage is hard to manage. Tricky it is to treat the resulting tress that’s less weak and elastic. Though negligible, other repercussions—allergic reaction and scalp irritation—also need keen attention and urgent solution.

Where else do women usually turn to for remedy than a beauty salon. After a pampering sesh, they may opt to avail any of their formulated solution for upkeep. For optimum results, it’s best to combine it with NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack to promote robust locks and scalp.

NOVUHAIR is the only tress growth product in the market containing 19 natural herbs, essential oils and co-factor nutrients working synergistically to help remedy mane problems from growth to vanishing. It deeply penetrates to help rejuvenate, nourish, maintain moisture in the scalp and hair, and improve the overall appearance of the tress. Lastly, it’s an effective and safe solution to arrest hair loss.

So come and celebrate womanhood at your favorite salon anytime this month. Much better if you can make it regularly to bond with your sisters or amigas over a hair spa or treatment. After all, your crowning glory deserves a second look.

ToFarm Film Festival 2018

Another novel project BY TOFARM Film festival in partnership with Universal Harvester Incorporated and Landbank… this TOFARM Film Festival will also have a TOFARM Short Film Competition focusing on the life of our farmers which started wayback 2016 - 12 movies produced by TOFARM Film Festival (TFF) films leads to awareness in our youth today and for everyone to see the importance of farming in our very vast change in technology that modernized a lot of things today with a focus on urbanization. It also awakens the minds of everyone to new visions and perspectives.

Farming is one big thing that is so hard to present in our generation today. That's why this brilliant idea of TOFARM Film Festival a sure effective way to introduce the essential part of farming in our industry. Though they are saddened with the demise of TFF Director Maryo J. Delos Reyes, Dr. How is confident that they still have the expertise of our very own three seasoned film personalities as their film advisers - Ms. Bibet Orteza and Joey Romero with Laurice Guillen as a Consultant. I believed they are more than qualified and will surely have a great contribution in this project, not to replace Direk Maryo J. Delos Reyes because according to Ms. Bibet "there will always be only one Direk Maryo, only one original".

This year, as they launch their third festival with the theme “Tribute to Life”, they pave the way to  more meaningful films that will inspire the people about the lives, trials, and successes of farmers and other stewards of agriculture. Some of the Directors gets inspiration in their own life - they themselves were farmers.

In their first two years, 2016-2017
12 entries have gained multiple international awards. It’s a good thing that people in other country appreciate movies like this and hopefully also here in our country. For this is all about real life. How we wish more quality films be produced like this that will bring us in the life before and enlivened our Filipino culture and values, the things that matters most in life. Movies plays a vital role in bringing us back to our core foundation and it is not just seeing our farmers but also acknowledging their huge contribution in our lives. And I also hope that through this film , they will be given higher recognition as one of the noblest occupation and deserves to be well-compensated.

So let's get ready to be blown away in tears as we watch stories of life that will surely touch our hearts and start to love more our awesome hardworking farmers.

TOFARM Film Festival starts September 12-18, awarding night is on September 15. The Festival Committees are now accepting script entries for initial screening on April 20, 2018. For complete details log on to www.tofarm.org

ArtInformal Gallery

Glad to meet the owner of ArtInformal Gallery Studio in Makati -Ms. Tina and his SocMed Manager Philip Abadicio sharing about ArtInformal.

As she shares her heart to us in having this pieces of art from different artists, I can feel an overflow of her passion to where she is right now. Truly you have to be an art lover to appreciate everything here. Ms. Tina is inviting everyone to come and visit this gallery exhibition for you to see the wondrous works and get fascinated deeply.

This studio looks so calm in their very pure white motif, hanging  around the wall are their outstanding works of art. There's a schedule of pieces for each artist, and this one that we saw will run up until March 16 and then they will post another set of works from different artists this coming March 17. The building has different establishment as well, that is good to hang out with family and friends.

I am always amazed everytime I see artist's work  as they expresses themselves within the beauty of their pieces that only them can know the true meaning behind it.

In their abstract Images, you will wonder whats the meaning of it but your heart ponders of their extraordinary beauty knowing that every piece is finely made. One that strucks the most was a framed structure made of pencils that cost P800,000 pesos, this was so delicately formed and looks so amazing,  we also see bags, clutches, tables, paintings and so many unique items that is so good to collect but too pricey worthy. Everything looks excellent. I so love the bag and shoes .  We also meet one artist and pointed her piece , she finished that frame only in few weeks, wow! She is indeed very good!

Congratulations Ms. Tina and the whole team, you are all brilliantly awesome!

My Ocean Adventure Experience

This is my first time in Ocean Adventure, I was very excited because I wanted to see Dolphins. During our tour it was super hot but still we were able to enjoy everything. At first we got lost (me and another blogger   ) because the rest of our team went ahead of us with the tour guide, and we don’t know the flow of the scheduled show inside so we decided to just look around and start taking some pictures instead.

Then finally we saw them. Our first stiop, @ the aquarium. I like the octopus and the nemo fish. It looks so amazing. The tour guide explained everything that’s inside. It was like we were having an educational tour. Suddenly I missed my high school bestfriend. Then we saw the dolphins. I love watching them swim and play tricks, and dancing. They all look so lovely. I wanted to have an experience touching and feeding them but we are not allowed. But it's okay.

During our tour, we saw many students in uniforms having field trip, they all look so happy. My friend and I were not able to finish the whole tour, we only saw the dolphins and the fishes.. I would love to see the sea lions show too but it has not started yet. its all worth it. Just seeing those beautiful dolphins make me so happy.
Adventure parks like this always brings out the child in me! As a young gal, it is so easy to be happy and satisfied with simple yet important things. But I must say, up to now, I still get amazed whenever I engaged myself in nature, specially spending this with wonderful people. Aside from awesome entertainment attractions, the very best about this place is their awesome customer service. Everyone welcomes us with big smiles and great assistance. The staff were all so accommodating.

2018 Banaue International Music Composition Competition

Music indeed is not only a therapeutic medicine but it can also be a tool in restoring a World Heritage Treasure. Yesterday I joined Universal Harvester Incorporated headed by Dr. Milagros O. How and the local government of Banaue Mayor Jerry U. Dapilog as they launched their Banaue Music International Competition. This will take place on July 25, 2018 at Cultural Center of the Philippines.

This Music International Competition for composers is in line with the Banaue Rice Terraces Restoration Project, the grand winner will take home P12,000 USD and 2 consolation prizes of P6,000 USD. Composers around the Philippines and all over the world are all invited to join this phenomenal competition and create a symphonic works to be rehearse with an entire orchestra.

During the launch they showed the current development of this Banaue Rice Terraces Project. As a citizen of this country I am so grateful to take part in spreading this awareness project and encourage everyone to do their part and get involve. We are not just known to be a very rich country in resources but indeed overflowing in talents and skills. This so noble project is very timely as we have lost so many beautiful Heritage, and it’s time for everyone to know that this can't be done by only one group but as a citizen we need to be concerned and take part of it.

As this project progresses, we can one by one take action in restoring more of our Worlds’ Heritage so that the coming generation will still enjoy the exemplary beauty of our country. May this be a stepping stone for other localities to think bigger, and work together in saving what is needed to be save now. Philippines has it's huge excellent beautiful tourist spots, and if we will not start conserving, preserving, and protecting them, what would it look like in the coming years?

So I believe this is the time to be challenged, for Filipinos to be mindful and not only to be supportive of this kind of projects but also be part of it. Be part of the change. We can all do this, and see that Philippines, is still the best place we can ever be. We can have our next generation enjoy that beauty and pass to them the baton in taking care of the Beautiful Rich Philippines!

In lieu with this awareness project, surely Philippines will remain to be one of the most visited country in the world! Thank you so much Universal Harvester Incorporated for this awakening and shaking, for us Filipinos to make a difference! You can be assured that we are all-out in supporting in this project, we salute you!

From the time my mom and I see the hotel from at far, I feel amazed with their exterior look already. Then when we enter the lobby we were greeted with a warm smile of the hotel staff, he assisted us very kindly.

The evening view of their pool area is so romantic as the color changes , the mood is so cozy having our dinner there. This is such a sweet dining experience for me and my mom. They have awesome dishes- we have plated meal flavored rice, sweet an sour pork, with breaded fish and tempura serve with black gulaman desert and cold ice tea. One more thing that i like is the swing in the garden also in the poolside. It brings the youthful feeling as me and my mom enjoy the sway feeling, very child.  Haha! My mom and I loves it so much.
