They are siblings and are both millennials, James and Marge Tieng.

I enjoyed having lunch with them as they shared their first year full of great challenges that brought success to Restaurant Depot PH now. Their love for food is one point they have in common that is why they ventured to this line of business. They admitted that the first months was not that easy, even they did all the necessary preparations. They go through working on from the feasibility study stage, to business projections, to manpower pooling and employee trainings and yet, along the way, new things came up as challenges. Anyway, it’s really part of a the business and you need to welcome change to improve on many aspects. They consider suggestions and adjust according to their client’s needs, for they are here not just to give higher service to their customers but also to exceed expectations they set.

Both of them are hands on in running this business. James is focus on the purchasing, Information technology , and almost all over aspect of the operations, while Marge handles the Marketing part. The Dad is taking care of the finance section of the business.

The Tieng family enjoys working together as a team to make Restaurant Depot Ph grow better and stronger in the next years to come. They are looking into branching out or even do franchising.

I believe they will make it because it's important that you enjoy what you are doing and you have the teamwork in doing the business. More importantly, the convenience and needs of their clients is on top among their priorities.

This family gives inspiration to all Entrepreneurs that business is really a possible way to contribute in developing our industry. Big or small, in the beginning, you really have to keep on learning everyday and be open to changes. Be innovative and competitive. Prioritize customer needs, observe trends, and most of all, love your employees, because they are your number one partner to make this business grow.

Restaurant Depot is a big store that provides almost all the supplies needed by SME’s in the food service industries, be it a restaurant, canteen or even a bakery. Awesome right?
